Statement:

According to the graph, it shows the five most defected states due to the BP oil spill.Although we were not able to find exact amount of costs due to the damage because of tied up litigations, we provided what we found though websites of damage costs between the states as of April 25th 2010 until December 2010.

In the state of Alabama, it shows that the fisheries and tourism was affected and cost over 50 billion dollars. The state of Florida was most affected. It cost over 40 billion dollars in lost wages and 20 billion in tourism.

The state of Mississippi cost 20 billion to compensation to victims of the oil spill. In the state of Louisiana the fisheries cost over 10 billion dollars. Texas lost about 21 billion dollars overall from the fisheries, tourism and food.
