The above line graph is the progress of BP clean up during the five months. On the first day of clean up (May 1, 2010) 23,810 barrels were skimmed. By May 29, 2010, 288,095 barrels were skimmed.

On June 8, 2010 they began to burn surface oil. The total that day was 85,238. Four months later there was a total of 827,631 skimmed barrels. Three months later there was a total of 265,450 burned barrels.
